Gustavsfors
Fishery Conservation
Association was established
in 1978 and has since
worked actively with
fishery management
in the river. The natural
fish fauna suffered
severely from acidification
some years ago, but
today the water quality
is sufficiently good
for sensitive species
such as brown trout.
Stocking of brown trout
and grayling has therefore
been carried out in
order to restore the
original fish fauna.
Rainbow trout is primarily
planted in order to
meet the increasing
popular sport fishing
in the region.
